portugal

"an orange" in arabic is "burtukal" (only because there's no "p" in arabic). is this because there are so many orange trees in portugal and the Maurs got to know them there? cause it's said that the name of portugal comes from Porto (which is not a very unbelivable theory ;)). anyways, i love it all: oranges, portugal, arabis, porto and theories. long live creative linguistics!!

portugal was sooooooo goooooood.
