in Dar

It took me almost 24h to get here, but I'm in Dar es Salaam safe and sound!

Just after taking off in Waraw, I saw an amazing view of a stormy clouds coming as a wall from the west in the direction of Warsaw. [Tato, miałeś rację!!] Beautiful!! Also had some interesting encounters over the breakfast in the plane - I was sitting right next to a guy who served two rounds in Afghahistan and now is reading Harry Potter to have something to talk about with his niece. A really interesting person actually.

The training course starts on Monday, so I have the weekend to hang out in Dar. It's not the most lively city of all, esp. on Sunday, but there is enough to do. Yesterday I already managed to meet up with an old friend and go out with some people from the training to a hype club in the center of Dar. Interesting place to show off how rich you are.

I'm staying at the home of one of the guys involved in the programme in the part called Biafra (???? It's the name of the part of Nigeria that wanted to do the secession and there was a civil war over that...). Traffic jams make it supertiring to go anywhere else, but at least the bus communication is quite good. Anyway, I'm just checking if everything is in the right place in Dar or has it changed since the last year :) So far so good.

Tato, hinduska knajpka na swoim miejscu. Dziś sprawdzę, czy nadal dobrze dają jeść :)
